Simply known on the mountain as “The Big House,” this custom-built cabin is Sipapu’s largest lodging accommodation. Sleeping up to 16, it is a favorite year-round choice for groups and family gatherings, as well as retreats and weddings. The Big House is Sipapu’s premier accommodations.

Bruce Bolander of Sipapu Ski and Summer Resort’s founding family hand built the 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath mountain cabin, making it a one-of-a-kind mountain retreat with endless scenic views.

Bedroom one downstairs has a queen bed. Bedroom 2 has a king and a full-size sleeper sofa. Bedroom 3 has two bunk beds with full beds on the bottom and full beds on top. Bedroom 4 has a king bed and a full-size sleeper sofa. There is a full bathroom downstairs with a tub and shower. The bathroom upstairs includes two bathrooms and a shared shower, plus a full size washer and dryer. The house also includes a hot tub for guest access – the only one at Sipapu!

The house includes a large television with satellite and streaming services. The spacious kitchen includes a refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, air fryer and kitchen essentials. This house is designed for big groups and families and is equipped accordingly.

Built as a passive solar home, the Big House features a huge sunroom with panoramic views of the mountain and plenty of space for kids to play.
